About us

RePicture is on a mission to increase interest and diversity in STEM, with a focus on historically underrepresented groups. Through our workshops, in-class lesson plans, and award-winning Summer STEM Career Accelerator, we help all those in career transition (early career professionals, career changers, college students, and high school students) discover and thrive in their dream science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) career, practice “soft skills” critical for career success, and build an online portfolio of work to share with employers and colleges. Through our project-based community hub, RePicture.com, we help you connect with real-world STEM projects and the STEM professionals and companies making those projects possible. It’s a platform to publish your own STEM projects (from school or work) and those projects that excite you. Like GitHub meets LinkedIn for all of STEM. We are so proud of what our students create and accomplish with RePicture’s platform. Our programs not only help you succeed in your dream STEM career, but provide the tools and relationships you need to stand out. Our students have used RePicture to help land jobs, admission to university, and get into prestigious STEM programs.100% of past participants would recommend our STEM Career Accelerator to a friend! Everyone is welcome at the Summer Career Accelerator. Our goal is to continue to offer it free to those who are economically disadvantaged. 75% of our program participants are women, and we are honored to be a recipient of the Women in Engineering ProActive Network (WEPAN) Breakthrough Award alongside past recipients such as AT&T and IBM. We have also written about the benefits of our groundbreaking program, and have been published in the American Society of Engineering Education (ASEE).

#StudentSpotlight: Meet Zayd Ali! Zayd is a full-time California State University - East Bay student pursuing a Bachelor in Computer Science. He has a love for coding and puzzle solving, and his STEM education has helped him learn how to improve his technical skills and how to put himself out there to the world and gain confidence! One of the projects that Zayd published on RePicture during our STEM Career Accelerator Program was a project he worked on titled “Kiwibot.”   Zayd discussed how Kiwibot's innovative approach to food and package delivery goes beyond mere convenience. While other platforms like Grubhub or UberEats rely on traditional methods, Kiwibot utilizes electrically-powered robots that have become a familiar sight on 30+ college campuses, businesses, and locations worldwide. These robots not only excel in efficient delivery but also play a crucial role in collecting infrastructure data as they navigate urban environments. By harnessing technology in this unique way, Kiwibot embodies a commitment to sustainability and forward-thinking solutions, demonstrating how creative applications within tech can positively impact our world. #StudentSpotlight: Meet Farah Cisse! Farah is a Bioengineering student at the University of California, Berkeley. Farah is an outreach officer for both the Bioengineering Honors Society and Society of Women in Engineering, and a research mentee at the UC Berkeley Undergraduate Laboratory! Her STEM education has challenged her and built the resilience, discipline, and work ethic needed for success in her future academic and career pursuits! One of the projects that Farah published on RePicture during our STEM Career Accelerator Program was a project she worked on titled “Enzyme-catalyzed Crosslinkable Hydrogels for Tissue Engineering Applications.”     Farah discussed how the utilization of enzyme-catalyzed reactions in the fabrication of bioactive hydrogels remains relatively unexplored in research. Nonetheless, their potential for profound and efficient impacts on cell and tissue engineering surpasses that of conventional methods such as UV-mediated or physical crosslinking. These hydrogels, crosslinked enzymatically, introduces an innovative approach to biomaterial design that could potentially transform various healthcare realms, notably cell and tissue engineering, drug delivery, and regenerative medicine!
