Job Description:
The ideal candidate is an efficient, effective problem-solver who can complete daily bookkeeping tasks for a $1 million organization, anticipate the needs of our Executive Director, and manage projects while maintaining equanimity under stress. Responsibilities include: (1) Direct report and support to Executive Director. (2) Balance competing priorities in deadline driven environment. (3) Maintain stremanline accounting system. (4) Work with CPA on allocations, reports, budgetary planning, and reconciliation. (5) Collaborate with employees, vendors and customers to ensure transaction accuracy. (6) Perform general bookkeeping duties. (7) Accounts Payable. (8) Obtain and file tax forms from new vendors. (9) Track receipts and deposits. (10) Employee onboarding process. (11) Payroll processing. (12) General Administration. (13) Act as point-of-contact for Executive Director. (14) Review and guide company policies. (15) Maintain supply inventory. (16) Internal database administration
Experience Required:
(1) Proven work experience as Operations Manager, Executive Assistant, or similar role. (2) Bachelor's Degree, plu 3+ years at a small business, preferably Office Management/Bookkeeping for a Non-Profit. (3) Knowledge of accounting and bookkeeping practices. (4) Attention to detail (5) Ability to work independently and collaboratively. (6) Reliable, punctual, ethical and responsible. (7) Exceptional verbal communication, research, and analytical skills. (8) Effective time management. (9) Critical thinking and problem solving capacity. (10) Proficiency in Excel, Word and Outlook. Internet skills are essential. (11) Intermediate knowledge of QuickBooks
