For the second year in a row FORTUNE Magazine has honored Chaparral House as one of the 2019 Best Workplaces for Aging Services in the United States. The ranking considered anonymous feedback from 223,183 employees working for a large number and variety of organizations in Senior Housing, Senior Care, Senior Healthcare, and At-Home Care in the Aging Services industry. Great Place to Work, a global people analytics and consulting firm, evaluated more than 60 elements of team members’ experiences on the job for each organization. These included the extent to which employees trust leaders, the respect with which people are treated, the fairness of workplace decisions, and how much camaraderie there is among the team. Rankings are based on employees’ feedback and tend to reward companies who best include all employees, no matter who they are or what they do for the organization. Last year Chaparral House ranked number 25 and this year we rose to number 11 on the list. KJ Page, Administrator of Chaparral House, said “we are proud our staff has once again said the unified efforts of everyone at Chaparral House have created a supportive atmosphere for all staff to have meaningful input and excel at their career. Our Board and management are dedicated to continuing to make Chaparral House a great place not only for our employees but especially for each of our residents and their family and friends.” The Best Workplaces for Aging Services stand out for exceling in a competitive industry. “The value of creating great workplaces for all is a clear competitive edge in the Aging Services sector,” said Michael Bush, CEO of Great Place to Work. “When organizations like Chaparral House treat their staff with care and respect, you can expect their staff to treat your loved ones with that same care and respect.” About Chaparral House Chaparral House is one of only 4 Joint Commission Accredited Skilled Nursing Facilities in all of Northern California.
